Job Summary and Qualifications

Applies preparatory materials, paints, and stains to surfaces of walls, ceilings, equipment, and furniture. Prepares and applies appropriate materials to signage and irregular surfaces such as parking lots, streets, and patient room areas. Working conditions include restricted movement; air contamination, dirty environment, hazardous materials, lifting or carrying heavy objects. Will take a key role in providing a physical plant that is safe, clean and environmentally comfortable for patients, staff and visitors

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES 

1. Maintains existing paint surfaces through matching and tinting of appropriate paint products.

2. Installs, repairs, and maintains drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing

3. Keeps equipment in good working order.

4. Uses hand tools and department machinery, taking proper care of equipment, reporting malfunctions,

and following safety precautions according to department policies at all times.

5. Is knowledgeable about the contents and location of the MSDS manual

6. Is knowledgeable and follows the emergency procedures and is responsible in following safety and

security procedures (including equipment)

7. Completes all orientation and annual requirements according to hospital policy in a timely fashion

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous health care maintenance experience preferred.
