Why This Role Matters

The Lead Worker-Janitor supports individuals with disabilities by providing day-to-day guidance, training, monitoring, and coaching to ensure assigned work is completed according to contract requirements. The role is responsible for inspecting work quality, promoting and training on safety procedures and equipment use, resolving employee and customer concerns, and escalating issues when needed. This position requires strong initiative, reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What You Will Do

  • Completes required training and reviews, follows, and provides training on Company Custodial Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, and oversight of assigned employees, including onboarding and training new hires on procedures, routes, contract requirements, and SOP adherence.
  • Performs quality control inspections, documents work completed, maintains inspection records, and submits reports and corrective action documentation through electronic software.
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards and guidelines, including the proper use of materials, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
  • Addresses operational issues by communicating work observations, referring facility or customer complaints to the appropriate supervisor, and supporting overall contract performance.
  • May transport teams, supplies, and equipment to work sites and safely operate and perform preventative maintenance on floor care equipment.
