Ernest Hawkins is a respected Realtor in Kansas City who is deeply committed to service, equity, and community impact. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Germany due to his father’s military service, Ernest’s global outlook and sense of responsibility have shaped both his personal and professional journey. At Northwest Missouri State University, he played football as a defensive end, building the resilience and teamwork that carry through his career.

After serving in the Navy and later excelling in the logistics and IT industries—including as a Network Support Technician for the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad—Ernest found his calling in real estate. He holds prestigious credentials including At Home With Diversity (AHWD), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Certified Real Estate Negotiator (CREN), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), and Certified Relocation Specialist, supporting clients from local families to international investors and military personnel.

Ernest made history as vice chair and then chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors (KCRAR). Under his leadership, the committee created a scholarship program for the Urban Education Institute at the University of Missouri-Kansas City—a groundbreaking initiative that recently celebrated its first graduate, who is now teaching in the urban core. Additionally, Ernest served as vice chair and then chair for the Global Business Council of the Kansas City Association of Realtors.
