Hello Bob Woodruff Foundation,
I recently spoke with a mentor from the SCORE agency who provided me with your information and additional available services for veterans seeking assistance in creating their businesses. Stay Frosty is a nonprofit organization founded by Steve Millar, a service-disabled Army veteran, dedicated to supporting fellow veterans in their career transitions. Our mission is to provide financial relief, professional development opportunities, and guidance for veterans interested in pursuing careers in hospitality, travel & tourism, restaurant & bar, wine & spirits, food & wine publications, food trucks, celebrity chef aspirations, and so on.
The inspiration behind Stay Frosty stems from Steve's 16 years of experience in the Wine & Spirits industry, including owning and operating multiple bars and working as a national brand ambassador for one of the top five spirit brands in the world. After a successful career transition post-military, Steve is now committed to helping other veterans achieve similar success.
Stay Frosty aims to offer support in various forms, including grants and sponsorships from industry partners such as hotels, culinary schools, wine & spirits companies, food truck associations, and celebrity chefs. Additionally, Stay Frosty will host educational workshops and provide resources to help veterans navigate their career paths effectively. SF also plans on hosting national trips for any veterans eager to experience Scotland's finest distilleries or the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
I've been utilizing LegalZoom up until now for Stay Frosty's legal needs, including filing nonprofit articles of incorporation. The organization's website development was sourced through Fiverr, while GoDaddy handles website maintenance and hosting. QuickBooks is used for finance management.
While Stay Frosty currently operates as a one-man team, I seeking professional guidance and partners to propel the organization to the next level. The ultimate goal is to continue progressing, moving forward, and extending support to all veterans, regardless of their experience. They just need self-motivation and a goal.
In military terminology, "Stay Frosty" means "Be Alert, Beware, Stay Alive." This mindset encapsulates Stay Frosty's commitment to remaining vigilant, adaptive, and supportive as it strives to make a positive impact in the lives of veterans.
Cheers
Steve
